At the beginning of my journey in ALTO Network

What comes to your mind when you hear about “ONBOARDING DAY”? For me, it’s all about excitement and anxiety. I was really excited to start a new adventure as well as wondering if the new “work environment” would be as comfortable as my previous company.

My very first impression started during the HR and user interviews. We had such a crystal clear expectation setting, so we could both align our aspirations accordingly. Continuing with the offering process, which was also pretty smooth.

A week before my onboarding day, my line manager contacted me to check on me regarding how things were going on and everything. I could feel the personal relationship that was being fostered even before I stepped my feet into the office.

ONBOARDING DAY!!!

I can’t lie that anxiety is attacking me, though it’s not my first time switching to a new company. but the anxiety went away as soon as I entered the office. Not only was the onboarding team really warm, but the receptionist also welcomed us with excitement and a sincere smile. I had a casual chat with other newcomers who were also there to break the ice between us.

The onboarding session was also really fun and insightful. We have explained more details about ALTO’s products and achievements, the company’s regulations and policies, and so on. We were also assigned a buddy who’d be our “one call away” during the probation period. Preparation of the laptop and all work-related accounts was also swift.

On my first day, I was introduced to the entire HCM GA department, who was also coming to the office. Surprisingly, they were much more excited than I was. The “awkward moment” as a newcomer didn’t last long. It seems like they are pretty good at initiating conversations with strangers.

Last but not least, on the very same day, I had a meeting with my line manager and the entire Talent Acquisition Employer Branding Team. We got to know each other and set goals and expectations.
